Design-wise, I’m entering a new time in my life. I like my living space to reflect that move forward into the next phase. My Master Bedroom is my shelter from the storm – my haven. Here are some suggestions from my own life to help you make yours more cozy and inviting.
First, choose a color for the walls that you love. I had a pale blue bedroom for a while which I loved, but last year I was clearly in the mood for a big change. So I went for a darker warm gray. Remember, it’s just paint! We’re allowed to have a change now and then. I find it just perks everything up. I feel like I’m in a new space. Televisions in bedrooms should be behind closed doors, so make an effort to cover the technology – there is too much electronic noise coming at us all day long. A true rest requires no blinking lights or beeping. Think about updating your bed with a new headboard. I also love a soft rug underfoot. Recently I started ironing my sheets. That may be too much for you ,but I can tell you there is nothing more delicious!
How have you made your master bedroom cozier and more inviting?
